Ginger Cotter
Ginger is a medical student and family medicine interest group member from Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Cotter revived the Tar Wars program at her school this year, organizing everything from training workshops to setting up schools with volunteer presenters. Her hard work paid off. She recruited and trained 50 of her medical student colleagues to get involved as presenters, which resulted in teaching Tar Wars to three schools and 244 kids.

Susan is a family nurse practitioner from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Ms. Scott has been involved with Tar Wars since the 2000-2001 school year and has volunteered countless hours to the program over the years as a presenter and local coordinator. She is a strong tobacco prevention advocate and her involvement has helped get Tar Wars into more schools in Iowa.
