The Foundation has been the major benefactor of the Tar Wars program in Rhode Island since 1996. The Foundation has paid for school and physician recruitment, all related costs to the state poster contest, and promotional items. They also have raised funds through the solicitation of other organizations. The Foundation’s dedication has made the Rhode Island Tar Wars program what it is today.
Wanda Hudson
Wanda is an administrator for the Tar Wars program in the department of family medicine at the University of Virginia. Since its inception five years ago, she has been instrumental in the program’s success. Wanda was a critical support person in seeing the program bloom from having no official presentations prior to 2002, to reaching over 1,200 students since her involvement.
