Packing Tips
The awards ceremony is the only event that requires dress attire. Shorts, jeans or other summer wear are appropriate for all other events. We suggest bringing natural fiber clothing (such as cotton and linen). Don’t forget to pack comfortable walking shoes and a light sweater or jacket for air-conditioned rooms.
- Average summer temperature: upper 80s
- Humidity level: high
- Drink plenty of water or other liquids throughout the day, especially when sight-seeing outdoors
- Washington DC has high pollen counts
