- Be on time. Classrooms operate on established schedules.
- Request that the class or group size be limited to a maximum of 30 students. Tar Wars is not designed to be conducted in an “assembly style” setting.
- Support a tobacco-free lifestyle and environment.
- Use your creativity and individuality to present Tar Wars.
- Contact your state coordinator for details on the state poster contest, such as when and where, deadline, mailing address for submitting posters, and potential prize list.
- Encourage students to create posters reinforcing their decision to be tobacco free. Be sure to tell both teachers and students about the poster contest criteria, state and national poster contest prizes, and important deadlines.
